FS: E.F. Johnson Viking Valiant Transmitter

      Specifications:
      CW - 275 Watts, AM 200 Watts

      Bands: 160m through 10m

      1.75 MHz to 2.0 MHz (160 m)
      3.5 MHz to 4.0 MHz (80/75 m)
      7.0 MHz to 7.42 MHz (40 m)
      14.0 MHz to 14.85 MHz (20 m)
      21.0 MHz to 21.6 MHz (15 m)
      26.9 MHz to 27.36 MHz (11 m)
      28.0 MHz to 29.7 MHz (10 m)

Antenna loads 50 to 600 ohms. Well-shielded for TVI and RFI suppression.
Silver plated tank coil. Break in keying and PTT system built-in.
VFO dial moves smoothly, and all tuning caps and iron are in good shape.
Transformers and tubes have been tested.

Dimensions: 21-1/8" wide, 17-3/8" deep and 11-5/8" high.

Has not been recapped or restored, but everything is there, and in good condition
and it has a new 3-way AC power cord that has been installed for safety.
Crystal cover is missing. Microphone connector was changed to a standard 1/4" style
plug instead of original 2-prong unshielded connector.
VFO, Band switch, loading switch and caps, meter etc. are all in good shape.

The pictures were taken before the 6146 mod tubes were installed. Comes with a copy
of the manual. The rig comes with all of the screws - the four long cabinet screws
and the original rear apron screws - all in clean shape.

This Valiant has no major issues, and it will make a great project and will
clean up very nicely. Just needs a little spit and shine - you could maybe repaint
the caibinet, but it is really not bad as-is. I have recently seen
these going for $1395.00 fully restored.
