Me and my boyfriend have sex 2-3 times a week, and because i'm on birth control we never use a condom. My period is five days late this month and obviously it has me worried. I took a pregnacy test today and it came out negative. What are the chances that the test is wrong? Are there other factors or reasons why my period could be late?

A couple of things could be happening..........

Your period could be late becaue of stress, an illness, or just because sometimes they just are.

You could also be pregnant.Taking a test 5 days after you are due is not an absolute test. You need to wait 10 days to be really sure. No the test could be a false-negative.

I always tell anyone who absolutely does not want to be pregnant that taking birth control pills is not enough. If you abolutely do not want to get pregnant - use two forms of birth control.
