i have to go for a pap smear, does the doctor ask if i'm sexually active? if he/she does and i have only had oral sex do i answer yes or no to the question?
Oral sex IS sex. The reason this question is asked is - 1. So they know whether they need to test you for sexually transmitted diseases (YES!) 2. So they know whether you need a pap smear or not (Yes!).
Oral sex is an adult behavior that comes with it adult risks and responsibilities. If the doctor does not ask you - you need to tell the doctor you arre sexually active.
