No I don't really recommend you do - a piece of candle could break off inside you. But you could use a candle outside your body.

Please be sure to wash it BEFORE you use it and AFTER you use it. Since it is plastic you can wash it with most anything - but if you have bleach around I recommend you clean it at least once in a mixture of one tablespoon of bleach and 1 cup of water. (Take the batteries out.)
