Im a guy just turned 14 and was wonder if it is ok to have sex with a girl 17 at this age?

Ok in what sense?

Is it legal? Probably not. In most places it is ilegal for someone over 16 to have sex with someone under 16. If your parents found out and they didn't approve - she could go to jail for child molestation and worse. If she is close to being 18 it is even worse as she would be considered an adult.

Is medically OK? It won't physically harm you in any way.

Is it psychologically OK? This is where the real problem lies.
A 17 year old girl is very different from a 14 year old boy. The 17 year girl could be immature and inexperienced and feel more comfortable with the 14 year old boy - and that would probably be OK. The 17 year old girl might think it was really nice to be the experienced older woman with a 14 year old - and that might be ok. The 17 year old girl could be using the 14 year old boy- that would be bad. The 16 year old girl could have lots of sexual experience and make the 14 year boy feel inadequate because he has less - that would be bad.

So number one you have to figure out for yourself whether you are ready to have sex with anyone. Not this specific girl, but any girl.

Then you have to figure out if having sex with this girl is what is right for you. Are you good friends already? Are you dating and know each other well?

And lastly you have to figure out whether the legal risk is worth it. That is more for her to worry about than for you - but you know better wehat your parents would do if they found out you were having sex.

Personally, I'd say no. I think at 14 a 17 year old is in a different space and time than you are and you are better off waiting until you meet someone who is also under 16 like you are.

That was an interesting post nick had. I studied in al all boys school all my life and i must say i have and still find myself attracted to older women. I dont know why but they excite me. When iwas a teenager it excited me sexually but as i get older i find myself still sexually excited but also yearning the affections of one older than me. Perhaps it has something to do with self confidence but that is something i am not entirely sure. I really wonder if i would forever be rid of this fantasy.
