You have a choice.

1. Take the next active pill - until they are gone for this month. ( All the active pills are the same.) And then when it is time to take the inactive pills - stay on the same schedule and your period will now change by one day earlier.

2. Or do the same thing - but when it is time to take the inactive pills - take no pill for one day. Your period will stay the same.

3. Or take no pill at all for one day you lost it and then have no sex the next four days. Your period will stay on the same schedule.

Taking placebo/ inactive pills for seven days is a schedule that is healthy for you. But if once in a while you take an 8 or 9 day break from them - or take no break at all- because you want to skip your period - that's OK.

What is NOT ok is to skip a pill during the active pill stage. Then you have to consider that for four days for each pill you miss you might get pregnant.
( 1 pill - 4 days, 2 pills 8 days, 3 pills 12 days) If you miss more than 3 days - than you have to start all over again - throw away the pills you have left and start a new pack.

NEVER spilt a pill in half. Take your pills on the same schedulke everyday.

Susan
