Hi,

Me and my boyfriend had sex for the second time like three weeks ago and when I got home I was bleeding and I assumed it was because he popped my cherry. But I was due for my period 8 days ago and it hasn't come yet. I was wondering if the popping of the cherry has something to do with a delayed period. and if not then why hasn't it come all month if no complications happened when we had sex(the condom didm't brake or anything)

Tiggerle,

If you had sex the second time 3 weeks ago and lost your virginity before that - you could be pregnant. Condoms work most of the time - but not ALL of the time. Lots of people get pregnant the first time they have had sex. Lots of people get pregnant while using condoms. Losing your virginity does not cause your period to be late.

Since you are a teenager, I assume, and teenagers often have irregular periods you could just be late- or just be missing a period - but 8 days late is late enough that if I were you I would get a pregnancy test from the drug store.

When you take the test - be sure you follow the directions exactly. It will have been long enough that the test is PROBABLY right. If the result is positive - you need to see a doctor and have a doctor do the test again.

If it is negative - wait for your next regular time to have a period- and if you have it- relax. If you don't have it - go see a doctor.

Good luck , and please let me know what happens.
Susan
