I have only had oral sex with one boy for two years. We were both each others first oral sex partners(including first kiss). We have been having oral sex for two years and never had sex. I recently had BV and yeast infections and it is still recurring. Since I am off at college my doctor has been sending prescriptions in over the phone. My pap smear came back normal at the beginning of august so that only leaves an std right? But if he has never had another partner and I haven't...???? I'm just really scared. When I told my friends I thought I had chalmydia they laughed at me. But still could it happen?
Also is Bv suppose to come back again? I took all my pills!
You can get BV from things other than sex. Do you use scented panty liners, douche, use perfume on your vulva, have an IUD, use scented shaving cream and shave your vulva, masturbate with water, use sex toys that were cleaned with soap, take bubble baths? Any of these things can cause it.
A vagina is a naturally clean place. Part of the reason it lubricates is to clean itself. It you do anything to change the way the vagina naturally cleans itself that can be the reason for Bacterial Vaginosis to happen.
If the behavior that caused the BV in the first place is stil happening - you will get it again.
Having BV does not mean your boyfriend has other sexual partners - but you should not rule that out completely as a possibility. I suggest you use dental dams unti you get this cleared up completely.
If you two are stil having oral sex - he may need to be treated too. Most of the guys do not need to be treated - but if you get thios infection over and over it might be a good idea.
