why do you wear high heels?(4 girls)

keep up with fashion?
use it by kicking guy in the nuts as SELF-DEFENSE?
or

Women have been wearing high heels for decades. This thinking it is cute to kick guys is new. So it is fashion that they will regret being a part of in 20 years when they have horrid bunions on their feet like my mom does.

Hey Jake,

I'm no girl but from what they tell me they wear them for three reasons really. First is so that they are taller, b/c if you're a 5 foot tall girl talking to a 6 foot tall guy it's nice to have those extra few inches of height. Second would be so that their legs look nice, b/c it makes them use their calves more, and girls have very nice long calves. And last would be for fashion. I don't know of any girls that truely enjoy wearing heels, nor do i know any that would wear them for the purpose of self defence although i could see how they could be used for that if the situation called for it.

It must have been a really stunning moment for you, a very concrete self defence situation. I'm glad you got out of it.

High pointed spike heels look good as was said, but they make a woman unstable.
When they try to walk on uneven surfaces, they got to watch their feet. They seem to catch their heels in floor cracks and holes in cement, on interior carpets etc and in the pile of your automobile carpet.
The newer type platform shoes...I don't know the name...is it clog? Anyway you've seen them...they are really unstable.
I wouldn't be surprised if a girl wearing them would twist her ankle. If a girl wearing either tried to kick you in the groin, she probably fall down after.I personally think tall platforms look funny...similar to a horse clopping along.

Since a man was on top of me trying to force his body into mine and was drunk and could not be reasoned with - I felt if I wanted him to stop it was going to take more than words to get him to stop. He more than likely thought it was fun, but I did not.

Only the person who is being assaulted by another can access their fear. I felt my life was in danger. The reality is my life was not in danger - but certainly I was being forced into a situation I did not want to be in.

Actually he did it again - more than once. He had a very distinctive look - the only black man on campus who had naturally red hair. So I later heard that he had been arrested as a rapist. At the time I did not consider myself raped- as he didn't actually do anything but scare me so I never contacted the police. Looking back I should have. But I was one of those girls who was convinced I deserved it because I was asking for it by my reputation, my standard of dress, and my window being open.

Now I think differently. Sexual assault is sexual assault and there is no excuse. Men (and women) have brains to help them do what is right - not just what they want to do - that is what separates them from other members of the animal kingdom.

I am posting your message with TREMENDOUS trepidation. I do not support any of your beliefs. I hesitated to mention that the person who assaulted me was black because I knew what your reaction would be. I have been raped ( not attempted) twice in my life. Once was a single adult white man, and the other time was 3 white men. White men committ rape I am sure as often as Black men do - but what I believe is that Black men are reported more often, prosecuted more often, and discriminated against more often because of people with ideas like yours.

Your words speak for yourself. And rather than protect you from the avalance I think your words will create- I think it is time you hear what other people think when you spout garbage like this.

Susan, I also think that you should have reported to the police that the black man broke into your room and attempted to sexually assault you, even though he actually didn't. That way, that man would be thrown in jail with the rest of his "brothas" where he belongs. As you probably have guessed, I don't like black people at all. Granted there are a few decent black people out there, and I have known a few, but most of them are not good people. You mentioned that men and women have brains and can think so they don't act like animals. Well, many people do act like animals without taking any time to consider the consequences of their actions. This is why so many black men are accused of sexual assault; they think with their large penises and not with their minds.

My theory is that black men are not as evolved as human beings like the rest of us and may be incapable of controlling their sexual urges. To accept this argument, you must first accept Darwin's theory of evolution, that says we evolved from ape-men--->cave-men--->humans. Of course, this theory doesn't excuse their behaviour, it merely offers an explanation for it, since in the animal kingdom, when men have many mating parters, they will leave behind more offspring (Sexual Selection) and improve thier fitness.

My other theory offers an explanation as to why black men naturally have much larger penises than the rest of us males. As we become more and more evolved over time, we no longer need a large penis. Susan even says that you don't need a large penis to pleasure a woman; you just need to know how to use it. Therefore, our genitalia is getting smaller and smaller. The average is about 5 to 6 inches now.

I don't know how one would go about to test these hypotheses, but it would be interesting to see if they have any truth to them. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.

Thank you Susan for posting my last message even though it might seem racist at first. It was good that you added a disclaimer to it saying that you don't agree with any of my theories so that people don't wrongfully get mad at you. I am very sorry that you were raped twice by white men. That must have been very traumatic for you, leaving ever-lasting emotional scars. I know that white men also commit rape. But you know what is interesting, you hardly ever hear of Chinese or Indian rapists. I have no idea as to why this may be, but they maybe able to control their sexual urges better (if they are anything like me).

My intention with the previous post was not to infuriate anyone. I just wanted to pose a couple of my theories and hear the responses from others what they think of them.

Actually Clay's genitle size theory is very much similar to, or perhaps inspired by, one of an infamous evolutionary Academic who taught at the University of Western Ontario. Rushton I believe his name was. He did a huge study on racial differenes and this was one of his conclustions. They needed to have security escort him to and from class because all the "tolerant" university students couldn't stop threatening violence towards him because they didn't like his conclusions.

Actually Clay you mention other groups and rape. Well from what I've read in most countries where they've done studies Muslims, or middle eastern men, are often described as the purpetrators in much greater proportion than their percentage of the population. One example is in Denmark where something like 92% of the people are Danish, 76% yes 76% of convicted rapists are non-Danish!!! A group that makes up 8% of the countries population makes up 76% of convicted rapists. And most of the non Danish population in Denmark are Muslim.

Jim, I was just making an observation when I said, you hardly ever hear of Indian or Chinese rapists. I didn't go out and acutually do any research. I also know that Muslims (who I don't consider Indians) don't have much respect for thier women and treat them very poorly, which might account for the high rapist proportion in Denmark.
