Normal household utems are not going to work very well. So if sex is not the great to you - that might be why. If you are just using it to masturbate with regular baby oil is OK - but use lots of it and whem it starts to disappear into your skin - use more.

Don't use baby oil with condoms. Then a normal household item doesn't work.

I use handcream and a little spit as a lubricant when I anal-masterbate. It works fine for me, but probably not a good idea when using condoms with two people, since the creams or oils may damage the condom.
