If one does not mastribate and does not have sex for an extended period of time will it cause lack of erection and/or impotency sooner in life?

No, some people have had sex for the first time in their lives when they are 40, 50 , 60 with no ill effects.

If you are a guy, I would encourage you to masterbate regularly if you don't plan on having sex anytime soon. I've heard from sex-ed shows that the penis functions like a muscle. If you don't use it then you may lose it. Since erections occur by blood rushing into the blood vessels and corpus cavernosum etc. if you don't have any erections when your younger (teens, 20's, 30's) your penis might just get used to being flaccid leading to impotency.

Clay,

You are only a little right on this. Yes masturbation is healthy and helps keep eveeyrthing working well. Yes in a veyr few cases soem men have had TEMPORARY difficulty getting erections and ejaculating when they have not done it for a veyr long time. But the situation is not permanent.
