Love this site! Had to say that first, you have all the right useful kind of information, I have learnt more here in a days reading than months of looking looking. THANK YOU.

Ok now to business.... I am female, 30 and in a wheelchair, my disease is muscular weakness so although I can not stand I do have movement, and am able to manouver myself about with legs. Very weak though.

I wanted to try a new sex position, heard doggie was very good for female. We had kind of tried it before, him at edge of bed, my legs hanging over, hmmmm not good. We used pillows, but it was tricky for me to balance and I'm not sure we had it right? It felt so amazing, in a good way, very intense. I was able to move around and as I did he came, lol. Thats cool. Am wondering if in this position he needs to be higher for entry than me?

What other ways might you suggest? Anyone in similar circumstance have advise?

Thanks, Rose

Rose,

My physical condition is similar to yours. Doggie style is likely your best bet. I use pillows under my torso to help raise me up a bit without having to push/support with my legs/knees. My shoulders are level with the bed. My butt is raised way up. My legs are very wide apart most of the time. My lover is behind on his knees. Both of us can move around.

The pillows I use are buckwheat pillows because they can change shape, but are very firm. I suggest you use these or firm foam pillows. You don't want a pillow that you will squash smaller.

Glad you like the site!

head, legs??

Susan,

Ok, thanks.

So tell me, is your head on bed and rear in air? How do you breathe... I had pillows under me, but to have my read higher and shoulders low, I'm not sure I could breathe, lol.

And which way do you have pillows, if your legs are wide, btw good plan, how do you get em wide pillow supporting and still access for him?

Do you use your arms at all?

Hmm well the flattening of pillows was an issue.

Head is on bed and rear in air - yes. I usually have my head on a regular pillow with my arms wrapped around the pillow. I sometimes have to gasp for air, or move my head right or left to get air space. So breathing is a bit of an issue, but not much. Sometimes I skip the pillow, but usually regret it as my head gets pounded into the bedframe.

The pillows are just under your torso (stomach, breasts) - so he still has plenty of access.

I use my arms very very little - probaby the one drawback to this position.

Head Banging

May 3 2005, 6:33 AM

Susan,

It's is hard for me to understand that YOU, the undisputed expert of sex with thousands of varied experiences, could hurt yourself during sex. I'm somewhat shocked and confused at this. In your own words to other posters, "sex shouldn't hurt".
I understand your need for special positions for more comfort and better access, especially with the fibroids and other issues, but for old Gregorio, please be careful and don't get carried away! You will agree with me that sex should be very pleasurable, but completely pain-free and safe.

I suppose sex could have a little pain and still be considered pleasurable. It's when things get too rough that it becomes painful and even dangerous.

oh Gregorio, not to worry I never let it hurt for more than a second before repositioning.
