I have another question Susan. Is there a way to remove stretch marks without getting the laser surgery? I've heard about cocoa butter and it hasn't been a success. It doesn't work at all. So I stopped using it. Is there a natural remedy to remove them? I recently started to notice some on my waist area and it makes me feel really self-conscious about myself. I hope I don't get anymore. I have lost a couple of pounds then regained then lost so I know that's the cause of it. I'm kinda happy my b/f is leaving for a year so therefore he won't see my ugly stretch marks although I know he wouldn't care but who wouldn't want to have a strechless body? I want to be happy. Maybe I can get them removed then. I'm really thinking about the surgery but I don't think it would be worth it. Any suggestions?
I suggest you get used to the stretch marks. There really isn't much that you can do to get rid of them that will prevent them from coming back. Whether you get them or don't is mostly in your genes - so if you are getting them now - you have a lifeime ahead with them.
To prevent from getting more always put lotion on, cocoa butter is good, to keep skin moisturised to prevent tears inside the skin. Try not to lose weight so fast or gain weight so fast so stretch marks won't appear. Surgery isn't worth it. Most woman have stretch marks. Normal. They get lighter over time. I have them on my butt. I'd be more concerned about cellulite than stretch marks.
