Gregorio and I are going to vacation under Niagara Falls. What other great vacation spots do you know for romance near home? Steve - where in Canada? Bjorn - where in the Netherlands? And you lurkers who never post---how about Pakistan? Mexico? South Africa?
Susan...do you have any idea how wet you are going to get under the falls? Have you thought about raincoats? Hope there is something to hang on to...I hear it's very active.
Gregorio
Why didn't I think of that? We can hang out under the falls and marvel at the wonders of nature!

In Pakistan it is season to go to Sikaru and Chitral. Where it has world's highest Polo Ground. Also in Northren Areas,Naran, Kaghan and Lake Saiful Malook. Just like heaven.
Places are very romantic.

I spent three months doing research on one of the small Tahitian islands a year ago...has to be the best vacation spot I've ever seen, even though I was doing work. As for where I live (southern California) camping in Joshua Tree or driving up the coast are some of my favorite things to do.
Over the Canada Day (July 1st) long weekend me and my gf headed up to Algonquin Provincial Park, which is in Eastern Ontario. Specifically, Opeongo Lake.
If you don't mind roughing it a little, it's a beautiful and romantic spot for couples. Opeongo Lake itself is the largest lake in the park, and it's regulated for the number of people allowed to camp on the camp sites that surround the lake. You use a canoe to get around and to get to your camp site. The sites are secluded so you feel like it's just you, your s.o. and the wild. A very nice trip if you're into it! The nice thing about canoeing there is that you can take a ton of gear and food with you and just leave it at the camp site and then do day trips out around the lake!
On the last day we were there we actually had a huge moose walk right beside where our camp was! Quite the experiance!
