How do i make my own website?

Very complicated question. Do you want something simple? Or do you want something with lots of pizzaz? Do you know html? Have you got the money to buy a program that lets you do it without knowing html? Is cheap (free) and cheerful OK, but you are limited in what you can do?

I want to beable to do alot with it but how much is it

There are diffferent programs. I used Dreamweaver which costs about $400.00 - but I think once you learn it - it is really easy to use and worth every penny. I tried microsoft front pape which is cheap and hated it. I have used templates and felt too constrained by them - this site was on a free template on geocities for its first 2 or 3 years. I've tried to put sites on all kinds of free places, but to get it to look good you really need to know html. What I like about Dreamweaver is you need to know no html.
