If you are taking the same precautions - you are on the pill/pill, using a condom - it really doesn't make much difference.
If you are thinking that one of these methods is safer without precautions - they you are right- it is safeR to have unprotected sex during your period than just before it- as just before it is often when people unsuspectedly do get pregnant. They think they are not pregnant because they had their period, but they are in fact are.
