My husband has a very low sex drive. He had radical prostrate surgery 8 years ago. Since then I have had to ask for sex. It usually does not work. He is able to do it with Viagra - but he usually falls asleep before the viagra kicks in. I am at an all time low thinking I will have to spend the rest of my life begging for sex. I just turned 48.

Has he talked to his doctor? If his doctor is not helpful enough than he needs to talk to a specialist. This is very likely a problem with an underlying medical condition that can be helped with more than Viagra - or possibly something similar but different than Viagra. For some people Cialias or Levitra works much better than Viagra.

Susan is right, but more details. If Viagra "allows" him to fall asleep before it takes hold, try it sooner in the evening. Also, if you notice he's hard, but asleep, wake him up. Be sure Viagra is taken on an empty stomach...if it's full, there's another reason to sleep. The other 2 work on a full or empty stomach.
