Susan, this morning I woke up and my balls were kind of itchy, I thought nothing of it till i looked down there and there was this red rash. it doesnt hurt or anythign just a little itchy, and red. The weather has been kinda weird like it goes from hot to cold in like an hour, so they are kind of itchy, do you think it is jsut a rash from being itchy and scraching it?
Thanks sue! Should I be worried or go get checked out? I am not sexually active or anything. thanks

If you're not sexually active than I wouldn't worry. Give it a few days. Have a good wash and rinse really well (sometimes if you leave a bit of soap behind this will happen). It is doesn't go away by the next day buy yourself some jock itch cream and it should go away over night.

I'm assuming you don't shave down there, but if you do, it might be razor rash as well, or ingrown hairs. If that is the case, at most drugstores you can pick up aftershave lotion, it's safe enough to use on the scrotum, just don't try using it on the penis, as it would likely burn quite a bit. Cortizone cream might also help quite a bit.

Aside from that, It's probably exactly as our webmistress Susan has suggested, you may have gotten jock itch. Can you perhaps clarify as to whether you shave, or how often you wash, or what your normal level of exercise is?

Either way, good luck, and let us know how it turns out!
