Hey Susan. How are you doing? Its been awile since i've posted because things have been quite hectic. Im due in one week. But guess what? I broke my ankle a month ago and had to have surgery, nine screws to repair both broken bones. Im sure your curious at how i managed to do this to myself. Well as i was getting out the passenger seat of a car my foot got tangled with the seatbelt and to prevent myself from falling on my tummy i twisted my body causing the belt to twist my foot the opposite way. This was a painful experience, but im grateful that my unborn baby wasn't the one that was injured. Oh by the way his name is going to be Angelo Rafael Flores.

I am so happy you are so close to your expected date. Post pictures when you get them!!!!! I did exactly the same thing to my ankle - but did it falling down stairs - my biggest suggestion to you is to do the therapy. I didn't and regret it because 15 years post injury it started to hurt A LOT.

Therapy was walking and stretching- which hurt - so I didn't want to do it.

Not to walk as quickly after injury as they wanted me to - or as fast or as far.

i thought you couldnt walk

Not very far or very well or without pain - but I can walk. Mostly I use a scooter - in large part due to the fact that I have horrid balance since my foot sensation is impaired from my break. I probably could be doing better if I had put up with the pain of therapy better.

did you get screws and plates placed to repair the break in you ankle.

Yes I have 3 plates and 9 screws
