OK, this is a little embaressing, but I'm 15 and my anal area is completely covered in hair! I'm not into anal sex or anything like that, but (this is where it gets REALLY embarressing!) sometimes when I go to the washroom, my feces (yes, that's a good way of putting it...) gets stuck to the hair! It is unbelievably disgusting! what should I do? would shaving down there be wierd or do lots of guys do it or what? and what would I need to shave there? the same as my face?

NO NO NO NO NO Do not shave your anus. You'd have to do it everyday or the growth would prickle you to death. Baby wipes is your solution. Lots of women will appreciate it if you keep them on the back of the toilet. Buy them in a plastic box the first time - pick a box you like Pampers - Huggies - Cottonell - they all have different boxs - then refill with refills. Keep a couple in a ziplock bag in your pants for times when you are away from home.

Honestly, this is more common than you think- but who's going to ask their friends,"how do I wipe my butt"? When I read your question I was going to say almost the same thing as Susans reply! The baby wipes are a great idea, and if you keep them handy, you'll even get the reputation of being a thoughtful guy, nobody needs to know why you REALLY carry them, and once you make a habit of it you'll be suprised how often they come in handy!

I don't really want to have baby wipes around my bathroom, (im 15, and so as you could imagine it might make my friends wonder things) I'm the youngest, by the way, so I couldn't blame them on a baby brother or sister!

Like I said- NOBODY needs to know why you REALLY have them! They have softening agents in them, maybe you use them because soap dries your hands so bad? Or maybe you carry them (in a baggie like Susan suggested) because orange fingers are gross after eating cheeto's, or you got sticky once when a soda spilled and there was no water nearby to wash up...or...
Be creative if you're worried about it! They DO come in handy for all those reasons and more! And I'm positive you'd rather smell clean than like poop!
Another use, in the movies when you're slimy from popcorn and don't want to miss a scene to wash your hands.

If I were him I would rather just trim it and get it done and over with than to carry baby wipes around. He can trim it really well with scissors leaving hair of course but making it shorter-not too short so as to avoid prricking. Shaving it off completely would cause razor bumps and irritation (what I'm going through after shaving my pubic hair) I should have taken my own advice before I started enduring this much. Anyway, Is trimming his anus ok?

Trimming his anus is not going to accomplish what he wants. It might reduce the tracks, but it won't eliminate them. I'd worry about the scissors slipping more than worry about a silly baby wipes box. Take the label off and who cares?

Why do people care so much about what people think of them? If i was to walk into a mans bathroom and see baby wipes in the bathroom, i would think wow what a clean man. It would show to others that this person is not a pig and he takes good care of himself. Isn't that the image you want to project to your peers. I keep baby wipes in the bathroom and my husband uses them, and i tell you they work so much better then T.P. If you dont want to use them, apply a little lotion to some toilete paper and wipe. What also helps for me is to apply some petroleum jelly on that area when i get out of the shower. It helps keep the area smooth and easier to wipe when i use the bathroom. Just some helpful tips from a woman. I think that all people go through this and other embarrasing situations so its nothing to be ashamed of. I would not shave it if i were you, cus ive done that before and all it does is make it sore and itchy. Plus the hair grows back so fast and your not going to want to shave it again for a while because it hurts so bad.

I think that baby wipes are a good idea too, but I think the problem is that the original poster is 15...it's been 8 years since I was that old but I can still remember that I would NOT have wanted to carry around baby wipes when I was that age. (And I could have hidden them in a purse.)

Honestly, if I'd had this problem at that age I probably would have just tried to solve it by planning ahead. Try to go #2 at home as much as possible or where you have access to a shower if you feel really messy. In public bathrooms, wet a piece of paper towel or toilet paper before you go into the stall so that you can use it to wipe up as much as possible, or look for places that have a single bathroom with a sink and a toilet. When you feel messy, hop in the shower and just wash from the waist down...I do that a lot after sex and it only takes a minute.

Please don't shave the area around your anus. I've done it and it is VERY uncomfortable. You don't really think about it until you shave it, but those little hairs (that are trapping feces for you) also trap small amounts sweat and prevent the skin of your butt cheeks from rubbing together when you move. After you shave your skin rubs together more, it makes you feel the sweat more, the hair starts to grow in and then those little prickles itch like crazy. Then you are going to want to scratch your ass all the time, which is way more embarrassing (and painful) than needing to hop in the shower once or twice more a day.

I think that when you're an adult, if you still have this problem, please remember about the baby wipes. One day (when you are more mature and independent) it won't matter so much to you what other people think.
