Razor Bumps

Hi Susan, I shaved my pubic area (vagina) a couple days ago and now I have razor bumps ALL over! It looks a mess and it irritates and itches me. Some are even bleeding b/c I itched it back lol. The hair is growing back and the studs are really annoying. Is there anything I can do to reduce or remove all the razor bumbs?...they look a horrid mess! I don't think I ever want to shave again after this; it's worse than last time. Anyone's inputs would be great. Thanks!

Yes, this is too often exactly the experience people have with shaving initimate areas of their body. Pubic hair is often coarser than leg and underarm hair - more like a heavy beard.

About the only thing you can do now is to put on a thick layer of white baby zinc cream. This wil be thick enough to cover the stubble and the bumps so that they don't get irritated when your clothing moves agaisnt them. Therre are also special stubble creams - but they aren't that much different than baby zinc oxide crsam and they cost alot more too.

Thats why you shouldn't shave the whole are entirely. Instead just keep is trimmed down. It looks more sexy and womanly, and its easier to keep it trimmed then having to shave it down completely. Trust me!

I am an adult male, and I agree with the previous posting. First of all its much more "attractive" with a little something there. You probably a falling into peer pressure from your significant other or society in general to shave it. This can only get more aggravating overtime, I've learned from my former wife. Pubic hair is beautiful & normal, I'm not suggesting growing a field, but you don't want constant itching embarrassment either. Not to mention the chance of infection if it is open and bleeding regularly. Be your own person!

Thanks all. I have been using baby powder and for some reason that works very well. The razor bumps are almost gone, they've dried up and healing well. I will never shave the hair off completely again, I only did it b/c I thought maybe it would be more of a turn on for my partner-which was one of the reasons mentioned above. Thanks.

Good decision. Glad the baby powder worked.
