After being off it a whole month - 0%. After 3 days it is considered ineffective. Birth control pills are hormones. You take them for just a few days and they start acting on your reproductive system. You miss them one day you need to double up the next day. You miss two days in a row and you need to doublel up for two days. You miss three days in a row - you have to start from scratch. So a month...use condoms until you've been taking them every single day at the same time every day for at least a month. |

Oops sorry- I read too quick.
There is no one answer - so to be safe consider it 0%.
There are lots of variables....
Do you take it every single day at the same time? (If you do your body will adjust quicker.)
Have you been menstruating for 4 years? (If you have your body's hormones are fully mature and it should take less time.)
Have you had a regular period for at least a year? (If you have that means your hormones are regular and will more easily makes an adjustmemnt that will also be regular.)
Have you been sick and taken any antiobitics? ( Antiobiotics lessen the ability of some birth control pills to work.)
What version are you on? (Some are stronger than others and work quicker.)
I suggest you use two form of birth control for 4 months to be on the safe side if you are a teenager and are willing to risk pregnancy a tiny bit. (If you are oldr 3 months) If you don't want to risk pregancy at all - then always use two because the pill is NEVER 100%. |

You have to decide how much risk you are willing to take on getting pregnant. Personally if I absolutely positively did not want to get pregnant I would use condoms for 3 months minimally. In theory you should be pretty safe - but theories don't mean anything if you are that tiny per cent that gets pregnant. | |
