It could be spooning..I had never heard of it referred to as such, (I'm not the resident expert here) but in any case the idea is to start out foreplay in the usual way (whatever way is comfortable) using LUBE, then switch to this position, have him penetrate only when YOU are ready while he continues stimulating you.
Keep the tissues handy.

Another way is have foreplay, then to do it is missionary style, but have him support himself on hands and knees while he thrusts. Basically, only his penis is touching you.
