| - Susan its been eight months since ive had my baby and my stretch marks really irritate me. But what irritates me even worse is the way my stomach looks all wrinkly. Ive lost all my extra weight but I dont love my body like I once did. I even have gone as far as to think about surgery but my husband doesnt want to hear it. I am working out. But i dont think working out is going to help with my skin. Also the skin on my breasts has become very thin and flimsy. What can I seriously do? |

Belinda,
You can seriously get adjusted to having the body of an adult woman who has had a baby. And you can also realize that 8 months is not really a very long time for your skin to bounce back into place.
Why do you think so many celebritites are adopting babies? Do you really think that many women cannot have their own babies? They adopt so they can keep their bodies perfect and they don't have to stop working. A selfish and an unselfish act together.

I know Susan. But my mom has had three kids and she looks better than i do. I dont know why i got so much stretch marks. Its hideous to me. I know that sounds immature but I can stand it. There has to be something i can do besides just deal with them. |

Ask your mom how long it took her body to bounce back and look like it did. I bet she tells you it took longer than 8 months. I saw a woman yesterday who had had a baby who was a year old and I was tempted ot ask her if she was pregnant again. It takes time! Are you still breast feeding? If so it takes even longer. Be nice to yourself and stop worrying about it. |

I mean i got down to the weight i was pre pregnancy. Its just that my stomach is real flabby and deftlated looking. Almost wrinkled. Plus those marks. My mom always says she was never that bad. But i think she is lying. She is the one that told me the only thing that is going to work is surgery. Thats a little scary step to take. But I dont know. I wanted to become a personal trainer but like this i dont think so. |

You really think your mom remembers that clears. Belinda give yourself a break. You are only 8 months past being pregnant. It takes time for your skin to bounce back in place.
You want to be a personal trainer - go for it! The work you do wil just help your body get baack in to shape quicker. |
