It is probably exactly what you think it is - but it might not be. So you really need to go to the doctor. Sorry.

Shaving is not going to help. Lice/Scabies are teeny tiny little animals that burrow into the skin. You have to put a special cream on your body that will suffocate them so that they come out and then die. Or take a special medicine that chage the acidity of your body. The over the counter creams are for head lice and should not be used on your around your penis or vagina. You need a prescription for the kind of cream that works effectively and quickly.

You also need to wash all your bed linens and towels in HOT water. Pillows need to go in the dryer for 30 minutes. Mattressed need to be vacummed. If you can't wash it - put it in the freezer overnight or in a plastic bag for 2 weeks. Vacumn all carpets. Wash all rugs. Wash all your clothing.

EVERYONE In the family needs to do this - including pets. EVERYONE needs treatment. IF ANYONE was at your house that shared towels or beds they need treatment too. Your doctor will probabably also contact your school.

This is why you need to see a doctor. You might have something else that you can't pass on to the rest of your family and none of this might be necessary.

IT IS NOT GOING TO GO AWAY UNLESS YOU GET A DOCTOR"S HELP AND YOU DO ALL THE CLEANING REQUIRED SO YOU DO NOT GET IT AGAIN.

I guess i have no choice then. I'll have to tell my parents but their very religous and im only 14 and im not supposed to have sex before im married. Their gonna kill me but i guess i have to look out for other peoples health too as well as mine ill just have to deal with the consequences.

Sorry. But this is part of the reason parents want kids to want until they are older/married before they have sex. This can happen to you at any age - but kids pass it on more often to each other because they don't take care of it and they pass it on.

Mike...do not beat yourself up. It's normal for guys to want sex and religion doesn't have much to do with bodily urges. What is important is to have sex for the right reason and to use protection. From now on, choose your partners carefully....know a lot about them before you get naked. Because sex involves responsibilty of what could happen.

So, the diagnosis should be first. There may be a free clinic in your area before you even get your parents involved. Know what your dealing with and just do what you have to. Because of what Susan said about clean linen, it is possible these little creatures (if so diagnosed) could even have come from your gym class from someone's underwear or towel on the bench..
