Hi Susan, my period only lasted one day, it usually lasts for 6 days. Does this indicate anything. I have been having sex w/ no condom sometimes w/ the b/f.

Take a pregnancy test if it is 10 days past your 1 day period.

A one day period can be what is called break-thru bleeding and not a period at all (if it wasn't the right time of the month) or it can be a mini-period that women, especially young women have when they are pregnant for the first 1,2,3 months.

This is why often a young girl will not know she is pregnant because she still has her periods. Some women always have their periods for their whole pregnancy - even 2nd or 3rd pregnancies.

Do you want to be pregnant? Because your actions are going to get you pregnant. The guy who is having sex with you isn't going to get pregnant - so he doesn't think too much about it - just about how it feels to him. Is he going to be pregnant or have the abortion? You have to be in control of your body - only you. If you can't get birth control pills or patches - buy condoms and make him use them or don't have sex.

I heard that the patch is deadly, very dangerous. I read some articles on women dying from it. Is that true? Also, I am scared to get on the BC pills. A woman I knew gained so much weight!!

The patch and the pill can both be deadly to the wrong woman. That is why you need to see a doctor to get either one. The doctor will know if you have risk factors.

Yes, many women gain weight from using the pill, but would you rather gain weight from pregnancy or have an abortion?
