First I'll introduce myself. I'm from a brazillian airguns company named Elite Airguns. We make a product called Gas Ram. This is a gas spring filled of nitrogen that is used to replace the common steel spring of the carbine. Basicaly the Gas Ram it's a pipe of steel with nitrogen under pressure and a rod coated of hard chrome that when get inside of the pipe increase the internal pressure, and make this mechanism work how a steel spring.
So the Gas Ram, provides a bigger confort to the shooter, with less vibration and retreat in the carbine, can provides a increase of the pressure like in the Magnum carbines.

- The Gas Springs don't need lubrication, because they has a reserve of lubricant inside. So it's usual find lubricant in the chrome rod when the pipe leaves the spring;
- Lass effort to trigger the carbine, the nitrogen inside of a closed system have a superior performance then a gas spring filled by compressed air;

* to avoid the broken of scopes, the Gas Ram must be installed as the installation manual shows. While install you must certify that have no leaking air in the carbine (in the pistons internal seal, and in the pipes o'ring) and the scope must be appropriate to use in compressed air rifles.
