Need help on John R. Hitchcock and Emily Belcher from Essex, possibly from Colchester, both born in 1820 in Essex. They married, had 3 children when they came to the states in the late 1830's or early 1840s'. They came to Benton County, Mississippi and died there. If anyone has any info on any Hitchcocks or Belchers from Essex and Colchester please let me hear from you. I have a cabinet card picture made before 1850 of a woman John brought with him to the states, possibly his mother. The picture was made at the William Gill Studio in Colchester.
