My mother was abandoned on April 5th 1940 at Langham, she was taken to Cottage Hospital Colchester and later named by Nurses there as "April Langham".
When she was found she was very ill as the umbilical cord was still attached so we are sure she was born on the 5th, we do not have a street name that she was found in just the place of Langham.
Because of the circumstances she doesent have a birth certificate.
She is still alive and well and lives in Australia under the name Marjorie Brown.
Her adopted Fathers name was Edward (Ted) Crawley, I believe he did some service in the Home Gaurd.
I am interested for any information about her true Biological Mother, we are interested in making contact with anyone related to this person so we can have some closure on her past and hopefully bring my Mother closer to some surviving relatives.
