I've some pretty old ancestors, Tomas Jansz. van Wijk (Wyck) and Maycken de Klerck (Clerck) who were both born in Colchster around 1600, pobably as children from Dutch o Flemish refugees. They anyhow returned to Holland as they married in Leiden in 1623.
Who knows where / how I can find information in Colchster about their parents? (Jansz. means Jan's zoon or the son of Jan, so the guy's father must have been one Jan van Wyck).
