The large black and grey tom stepped into the Yard, bringing his white lifemate with him. He slid right into a beautiful dance, swinging Sarai up high to show off her white coat and her form to anyone who might be watching. Seeing them together, it would be hard to beleive they hadn't danced like this their entire young lives, they were very much in sync and in tuned with each other.
Sarai danced with Gareth, not paying any attention to anyone else but him. It seemed so long since they had been this close. She felt more in love with him than ever after being separated from him for so long.
Their feelings being so in tune with each other, by mutual consent they danced by themselves on the outskirts of the Yard. His black fur shone in the moonlight almost black, and where his fur had turned grey underneath Sarai was pressed up against him. They looked like one, the fur meshing from black to grey to white. Gareth started purring, as a low counterbalance to the soft music from the radio playing. "I love you Sarai." He couldn't get enough of saying that, although just talking seemed to break the spell they were in. Not for the first time, he wished he could read her mind.
That thought brought an unwelcome intruder thought, as Troubador's flash of emotion penetrated Gareth's bliss. He faltered a step, but continued smoothly with Sarai. Nothing was going to interrupt this time, their special time together.
Gareth responded at first by holding her tightly against him, breathing in that special scent she has. "Troubador's thoughts. But nothing is going to prevent me from spending this time with you, so I will try and block him out. No more thinking of my brother." Gareth then did a difficult maneauver, with swinging her high in the air, turning around, before pulling her body down close once more to his and promtly forgetting his earlier promise. "He's got a lot of pain he's working through, and not successfully. I know how he feels." Gareth stopped for a moment, kissing her passionately.
