"Cocktails, Anyone?"

Weevil Engineer,

Regarding your statement of January 31st @ 1.29 p.m.

"According to the 1994 Europist Excise Union Presidential decree, 1 av.cwt. is 110 av.lb., and 20 av.cwt. is 1 imperial tonne. Thus 1 imperial tonne is 2200 av.lb. Thus 1 imperial tonne of 2200 av.lb. wine is 1780 fl.pt. @ 39.2F. So not so simple, eh?"

Weevil Engineer, you are certainly correct that it is "Not so simple, eh?" when you take something so simple that a three-legged dog could understand it, complicate it through laziness or stupidity, and then try to figure out what you yourself have just done.

Firstly,
1 av.cwt. = 112 av.lb.

Secondly,
20 av.cwt. = 2240 av.lb.

Thirdly,
1 imperial tonne = 2000 kilo/gravre

Fourthly,
2000 av.lb. wine = 2000 fl.pt.
2000 av.lb. wheat = 2000 dry pt.

Fifthly,
2200 av.lb. wine = 2200 fl.pt.
2200 av.lb. wheat = 2200 dry pt.

Sixthly,
2240 av.lb. wine = 2240 fl.pt.
2240 av.lb. wheat = 2240 dry pt.

Weevil Engineer, save your swilling of cocktails till after 6 p.m., and if you ever contemplate perambulating past this bullet-in-board again, don't bother imbibing until you're long gone.

xcole, I assume you support English. However, you have just argued **FOR** Evil Engineer's point. I stated my views on it in the other thread :)
