UKIP activists get Torridge Council to replace 2 metric signs

Two signs in Torridge District have been altered _by the Council_ from 'Toilets - 150 metres' to read '150 yards'. In both cases, the new references to yards were _smaller_ than on the previous signs in metres!
In both cases, the decision to amend the signs back into yards was taken _after receiving advice from the Council's Solicitor_.
One sign was at Westwards Ho!, Devon - the UKIP activist we must thank there is Elizabeth Winkfield.
The other was at the village of Winkleigh - between Dartmoor and Exmoor - thanks here are due to UKIP activists Mike France and Charlie Tapp.
