Illegal Metric Sign on A 1065, Norfolk

A letter received by our Information Officer, Polly Peck, from Norfolk Planning and Transportation Department, dated 25 September, in relation to a sign stating: "Household Waste Disposal Site: 400 metres", says:

"Thank you for your letter dated 13 September 2002 regarding the above which was received at this office on 18 September 2002. I have inspected the sign and can confirm that it has been removed and as the waste disposal site is clearly signed it will not be replaced. Please accept my apologies over the use of this sign.
