| A Mr Reaper from Manchester has reported an illegal metric sign in the Lightbowne Road/Middleton area of Manchester - and after an initial refusal to act, the City Council has now agreed to replace it wit one in Imperial.

A recent letter to ARM has come in from Cato Ridge in South Africa.
Mr Creasey informs us of a British Waterways sign on the approach to Caen Hill locks on the Kennet and Avon canal (on te B3101) giving the distance to them as '900 metres'.
He writes: "I got your address from 'This England'...we are Brits who summer in the U.K."
