The quietness of this board is an indication of how well "ARM" has done!

Funny sign at Heathrow though: "Maximum height 7' 0", 50 metres ahead"

In my view looking down the "wrong" end of an automatic weapon while the "right" end of the aforesaid weapon is under the control of a not very bright squaddie is not a healthy occupation.

My advice - leave the sign alone.

.....or at least don't grow your beard really long and disguise yourself under a linen hat whilst "doing it"!

If ARM are desparate for work, I could easily provide 1 example at a time in Scotland. Obviously I'll start with the most remote ones 1st.......

REPLY: There's one set of sings on a road in Hertfordshire (Welwyn Garden City to Wheathampstead) that says: "Maximum height 2.0m;,50 yards ahead"

Ahem - cough cough

Perhaps the silence on this board is out of respect for the sadness of lost causes.

S_I_G_H.

You're right there mate - look at all the metric signposts all over the place.

(ahem)

I spotted a couple of nice ones near me the other day ;-)

The reason it is a lost cause is that the day the government adjusts the law to allow or require metric, all that hard work has gone to waste

I think we should stop admiring each other now - people might "talk"
