A load of walkway-signs with KM on them and a map thing with similar.

Fortunately they look like they could easily be "stickered over" as they're only about an inch (2.54cm) by half an inch (0.000012km) big <wink>

ARM's work is Sisyphus work

Look forward to ARM defacing 135 ha of land, that should keep them busy for the rest of their lives.

Don't you mean 1/126720 mile?

Maybe ARM should spend the rest of their days and money trying to label every single square inch of land in imperial measurements. They should start at home and then move to a farm, and put imperial signs on all the crops. Then stick a few imperial signs on the cows and don't forget the cowpats! Also they should measure every blade of grass in the country and put labels on all of them specifying each length to the nearest fraction of an inch. Only then can we claim that the country is imperial.
Go for it, ARM, this is more important than changing man-made signs. Go spend the rest of your lives in a muddy field wasting your resouces until you are all extinct.

REPLY: You said ‘every square inch’, not me.

REPLY: Hmmm, bet you that last time any land on the farm was bought or sold it was advertised in acres.

REPLY: Ah yes! The animal that produces pints of milk.

and don't forget the cowpats! Also they should measure every blade of grass in the country and put labels on all of them specifying each length to the nearest fraction of an inch. Only then can we claim that the country is imperial.

REPLY: The latest independent survey showed that the country is Imperial. 98% said they understood Imperial weights and measures only 29% said they understood metric.

Go for it, ARM, this is more important than changing man-made signs. Go spend the rest of your lives in a muddy field wasting your resources until you are all extinct.

REPLY: You are clearly angry. These days there are many anger management courses available. Go find a social worker who can put you on one.

I think that Tony Bennett is wasting his time with ARM, BWMA, CountyWatch and resisting metrication. He should continue his onslaught against Michael Barrymore and the case of the man who was found dead in Barrymore's pool.
Pursuing a case like this, where a young man died in mysterious circumstances, is of far more value than wasting time covering up metric signs.
Tony, if you really want to do good, keep on fighting people like Barrymore rather than metrication.
Metrication is good.
Barrymore needs to be investigated over someone's death.
I know which is more important. Metrication is not killing anyone, but crazy parties and moronic "celebrities" do.

I read somewhere else that Tony Bennett who often posts here, is a retired solicitor, although he is not registered with the Law Society and thus cannot act officially in any legal capacity on any matter in the UK.

I also read that he's a bit of a crooner too.

Didn't he play to sell out theatres in the 70's?

Very talented
