After a member of Active Resistance to Metrication spent a futile hour-and-a-half recently talking to a gaggle of useless Council officials from various authorities in Essex who didn't seem bothered that two illegal metric signs saying 'Humps for 280 m' had been erected at a roundabout on the A127, 5 miles east of the M25, they have now been removed from the roadside and placed in safe custody
