New 200-Yard Signs in Harlow

June 29 2001 at 8:50 AM

After 6 months waiting for two signs reading 'Road Humps - 200 metres' to be removed as promised, UKIP's 'Guard the Yard' Campaign wrote to Harlow Council on 22 May 2001, saying, inter alia: "Unless the signs are replaced or suitably over-labelled within the next 14 days, it is proposed that a supporter of our campaign will physically remove them".

On 31 May, the Council's 'Citizens Services Officer', Mr Pipe, replied saying: "The new signs in Harberts Road were erected today".

The two new signs say: "Road Humps - 200 yards"
