4 weeks periods instead of months

Is there a way to set Quickbooks to work on a four week--13 period close instead of the monthly close? We need to be able to input our budgets to run along side our P&L's but we work on the Period basis not a monthly basis. Any help?

QB can't handle this type of accounting system. All the reports are based on actual months.

We were told that there was a version of Quickbooks that would do periods. Does anyone know if there is any version that can handle this?

Ask the person who told you this for the version.

Unfortuantely QB cannot accomodate 4 week accounting periods. It is one of the few drawbacks of what is otherwise a very nice package!
