I'm new to Quickbooks, but it seems it was not built with online auctions in mind. Any suggestions on where I can find some reading materials on using Quickbooks for eBay business.

Thanks

Hi,
if you found out anything let me know. I do a large business over on bidz.com.
Right now I just make things simple and just do the auctions as cash sales but i do also want to keep track of my customers so i do set up customers also. So I run it as cash sales since i do not ship a product until paid for. Once in a while i do send invoices for credit card payments for the online billing since i do more than just auctions. i suggest looking around your area for a class in QB. Dont know if its worth spending 300.00 for a QB seminar or for their CD course because then they'll just suck you in for another 300.00 for their support plan which is outrageous to charge a QB user for support like that. I took a 2 day class in my area for 150.00 and on top of it i can call them with all my questions because I took their class.

If you receive payment through PayPal, you can use this tool to create the invoices or payments and PayPal fee transactions: http://www.bigredconsulting.com/aboutpaypallink.htm
