Our retail shop would like to offer gift cards to our customers but I've just been told by Intuit rep that processing them is not an available feature through QuickbooksPOS. Aaargh! This seems simple enough with the card reader, etc.
Has anyone heard of any other solutions (aside from paper gift certificates, of course.)? Thanks.

I understand what Intuit told you and I agree. The card reader is designed for Merchant Services. What you are looking for is an internal matter. Did you look to see if there is a "add-on" to handle this.

This may be something that the developers need to address, since our society is going this direction.
