Is there away to pull my data from my computer at work from my office at home? without using pc anywhere. We don't have fast connection here at home office!
If you are the only one who uses this program at work, then make a back up copy and take it home with you and restore it there and then use it at home and make a backup copy and take it back to work and restore it there. Make sure that you have the same version and release number on both programs in order to do this. Open the program on each computer and do a Ctrl+1 (using the one at the top of the keyboard and not the numerical pad on your keyboard) and see what version and release number the program is. They need to match on both computers. If you aren't actually entering anything into the file but just using the info for reports, etc. then make the backup file and bring it home and restore it there and use it however you wish. The original file is kept that way it was at work and you can use it there the next day. But if you are entering transactions then you need to do another backup at home after making these entries and then you need to restore that file at work the next morning so that all entries are in the file.
I monitor (and make entries) at home for the church computer Quickbooks program. This has worked fine by swaping backup files. Then, the Church Company file disappeared and I can't get my home backup to work without a Comapny File at the church.
I've tried copying my home Company file and pasting into the church program, but it is too large to be moved on one floppy disk. Efforts to move it on a CD haven't worked because the church computer can't read my home CD.
