International CC Payments

We have a client that is trying to pay his bill via his Visa. It is being declined over and over again. It is a good card that is being used world wide. They have contacted their bank and they have no record of any transactions being denied. It's this whole mess I cannot begin to really explain all the details....but I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience and tips on how to get this to go through??

Thanks!

It might have something to do with your AVS settings on the credit card processor that you are using. (The AVS verifies the address) Since it is an international card there is no real way of verifying the AVS so you will often get an XXX code instead of YYY or NNN like you would with a regular card. It sounds like you have it set up to decline anything that fails the AVS. You might have to call the card processor or visit their website to lower the settings to receive international cards.

Hope this helps,
Dawn
