Question about assigning cost of goods sold to assemblies

Hi-
I just upgraded to the 2005 Premier Manufacturing and Wholesale edition so I could use assemblies. I am trying to create an assembly of items in which the different items are assigned to different cost of goods sold accounts (i.e., inventory vs packaging). While I have set up the individual items in their correct COGS sub accounts, it seems that the assembly can only be assigned one COGS account. I was hoping that when I would sell an assembly, the costs would be allocated according to the way I set up the accounts in the individual items. As far as I can tell, this isn't the case. Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions??
Thanks!!!

Ellen
