Response to Re: Why bother dreaming about a new ground and stadium then ?

There are a lot of fans in Runcorn who are interested, but not while the club is in Widnes.
The longer the club stays in Widnes, the less interested these fans will become.

As for the £750 for applying for the conference, based on the current squad it is not worth Runcorn FC HALTON paying the money. Currently with gates of 200 (90 paying Adult home fans), it would be suicide to go up anyway.
The clubs better off following Telford, going bust and dropping 2 leagues.
At the end of the day, by doing this its not going to loose any support and can only hope to gain more, while reducing costs and starting off in a new Stadium/Ground in Runcorn, either purpose built or at a modernised Pavillions.
People like Ste may say this is a negative approach, but its the only way forward. People need to think, do they want 2 years of debt ridden Unibond, sorry Conf North football leading to the club going completely under, or do they want a long term future, be it at a short term lower level?
