Response to real runcorn-reply
>>i totally agree, if runcorn afc are gone, then my & many others aligance will be at the pavillions in runcorn to watch a real runcorn football team & not one run by people from out of town (sorry steve p but true, who chose the new elected committee nominees?).<<
The nominees were chosen by those that attended the initial meetings, and few extra positions have been set up since, again, at the meetings that were open to everybody. One problem is, and I'm not saying this is the situation in your case, but some people are saying "now Runcorn AFC are gone, I'll support Runcorn Town" or whatever, but you have to wonder whether they supported Runcorn AFC at the end - there was very little evidence of it.
>>playing at witton is the big mistake.<<
And your suggested alternative is...?
>>i give you 2/3 seasons at the most before u fold.....dwindling fans!!!a certainty,<<
That's your view - by that time, we hope to be back in Runcorn.
>>u will loose support & have very little support anyway unless u get back to runcorn, pavillions wont have u, hbc wont have u, maybe u can play up the common? at witton, northwich or even prescott???? or what about halton stadium? anywhere but where you stated... RUNCORN!<<
Our plan is to get back to Runcorn. It's not a case, as I understand it, of Pavillions not having us, it's that the ground isn't up to scratch, and funding is going to be difficult for a privately owned facility.
>>im not paying £5 to travel n watch an imitation runcorn team at witton, i will watch a runcorn team in runcorn.it is a democracy after all.<<
It is, that's your call.
>>youve pinched the club crest & the club colours & no doubt altered them slightly to suit, like the website, but you want nothing to do with runcorn fc after you contradicted yourself in black n white on relevant forums?<<
I'd like to say "inherited", rather than pinched. The website has always been "mine", and I can do what I like with it. Not sure of the contradiction you mention, but I suspect it was my change of position you are refering to. I re-evaluated the situation and changed my mind - another facet of a democracy.
>>why become an imitation club but without the doc?<<
The old club had debts to the chairman which made it untenable. Not much more to say on that, really.
>>in all fairness some of the things on these forums put by you & your supporters are a disgrace on the mans character & im suprised he hasnt sued you for the accusations made.<<
I, personally, have never said anything about the chairman that would be construed as offensive. I've even been accused of doing his bidding when stating his point of view. Some of the other things said on this site, including the strap-line, are wholly inappropriate.
>>we all await steve p`s response accusing me & many others (as seen on forums)of perjury to the imitation runcorn that few will follow, & find both economicaly & strategicaly unattractive!
we await you & your supporters & brothers attacks on our characters for those who dare disagree !<<
Here is my response. I've never attacked people's characters for the beliefs and views that they hold.
>>unfortunately for you, many of us do disagree & you must learn to live with it, accept it your not the messiahas of a runcorn football club for the path you have chosen.<<
We are just trying to do out bit to save the name of a once proud club. All of the "you aren't from Runcorn" stuff I find irritating, because if those people IN Runcorn did care as much as they say they do, then I could leave it to them, and just turn up on a Tuesday and Saturday night and watch the footy, which is what I would much rather do.
>>we are not robots.we are not a number we are free men!<<
Yep - not sure of the relevance though.
>>we await your detailed itemised response to every statement & petty spelling mistake.<<
I've not done the spelling thing in a while - normally reserved for the "holier than thou" messages that appear here from time to time.
>>may your god go with you! & good luck even though people find you a bombasic snob, (not my opinion merely others who have met you), i will not resort to calling you, i know your intentions are entirely nieve & non calculated to the real runcorn public feeling, its obvious you dont live in the town.you have to remove the blinkers.<<
You might think what you like about me, that's fine. If you don't like me, or what I do, then you can vote me off the board, as you can anybody else, at the formal elections to be held soon.
>>walk round the town man, speak to the people ask them what they want!& we dont want to attend any meetings either!!!no matter what the press scenario in the local papers, we read & we laugh at your attempts? we havent even seen one poster in the town, but maybe theres some somewhwere in cheshire?<<
The only posters at the moment are for the Trials, which are over subscribed. Once we have league fixtures in place, then we hope to get some posters out and about.
It seems to me that you are happy to sit and mock our attempts, but, yet again, are one of those who are unwilling, or unable to offer any constructive criticism or assistance.
>>im sure the response will be the original runcorn afc in runcorn, forget the "doc" people arent interested they just wanna watch a local runcorn footy team in runcorn, so get down the pavillions watch your local team have a pint/ coffee whatever & enjoy the local characters & banter, cmon the real runcorn!!!!<<
I think you've over simplified the whole situation. We want Runcorn Football Club in Runcorn, but that's not something that can happen over night. We are going to work hard to make it happen.
