The fact that senior managers live miles away from their workplace is both irrelevant and commonplace. The main reason is that they're usually headhunted and based elsewhere and usually, because they're usually 40+, they have children and are settled in their current place.
The other thing to bear in mind is that senior managers at somewhere like Ineos would be earning major salaries (£100k plus at least). With this salary goes a certain lifestyle which the likes of Halton and its council estates, untold kebab shops and rough-arse pubs cannot provide.
I'm not saying Granox doesn't smell but to make out a huge organisation like Asda didn't build a distribution depot in Widnes because of an animal treatment works nearby is simply absurd. Tufty's "American bigwigs" story is one of those apocryphal tales that idiots from somewhere like Grangeway use to make Runcorn seem better than Widnes, when in reality they're both dumps.
Why do the majority of people on here have silly viewpoints ? In fact, why do people in general have silly viewpoints ? | |
