| I dont get this FC Liverpool.
If football fans in the Liverpool area, want affordable football, then why not simply support Marine or Bootle, clubs crying out for extra supporters. Established clubs who need extra income, not clubs needing even more competition.
Its the same with FCUM. There are enough clubs in the Manchester area all crying out for extra support without setting up their own club.
There are probably officials at Runcorn Linnets, who see helping AFC Liverpool as establishing links with Liverpool FC, rather than helping create a rival opposition club.
Looking at the relationship between MUFC and FCUM, you can only wonder that if by helping AFC Liverpool, it will only alienate yourselves from any help from Liverpool FC.
What people have to remember, is that Runcorn was an already established non-league club.
As stated above, Runcorn Linnets need to view the impact that AFC Liverpool could have on themselves. 2 clubs fighting for leagues, players and most importanty sponsorship.
You only have to look at Radio Merseyside, a radio station that gave match commentary to Runcorn FC, sent a reporter on the travel club to away games. Once Southport got promoted to the Conference, the radio Merseyside reporter stopped attending and went to follow Southport instead.
