Christ, I've blamed the board for some things but the judicial system of the country. I would suggest his release has more to do with prison overcrowding than anything else. You are entitled to feel that the club is 'morally corrupt' for taking such a stance but to say that the club is condoning his actions is ludicrous. There are worse crimes than giving somebody a good kicking. Christ three quarters of Runcorn are guilty of that. We just didn't get caught.
